Beatrice Scali

Ms. Beatrice Scali is a dedicated student at Leiden University, currently in her final year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, with a specialisation in East Asia. Throughout her academic journey, she has seized valuable opportunities to immerse herself in the region’s culture and studies. Specifically, Ms. Scali has undertaken two study experiences, initially in Shanghai, where she enrolled at the East China Normal University, followed by a subsequent academic venture in Taipei, at the National Taiwan University.

Ms. Scali’s academic pursuits are characterised by her research interest in various aspects of China’s political landscape, Cross-Strait relations, the dynamics of China-EU relations, and, more notably, the intricate facets of China-Italy relations within the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
