IAPP Asia Privacy Forum 2024

The IAPP Asia Privacy Forum, Asia’s premier event in privacy, this year featured a distinguished lineup of expert speakers sharing global and regional privacy perspectives. Attendees, including Mrs. Mireia Paulo, gained valuable insights on a variety of critical topics such as AI governance, cross-border data transfers, data sovereignty, privacy-enhancing technologies, and compliance with China’s PIPL law.

Mrs. Paulo took the opportunity to interview and engage with professionals from business, public administration, legal, and research sectors. These interactions provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the ever-changing regulatory landscape in countries like China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, as well as global developments. The forum also highlighted practical solutions that attendees could implement immediately, enhancing their careers as privacy thought leaders.

Operating in conjunction with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection (PDP) Week 2024, the forum included a flagship seminar, workshops, and deep-dive sessions, offering the latest developments in data technologies and accountable practices that promote business growth. Mrs. Paulo’s participation underscored the importance of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in advancing knowledge and addressing digital age challenges, opening new avenues for future collaborations with experts in the field.
