The Centre for EU-Asia Connectivity (CEAC) and the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) announce partnership

June 29, 2021

Westminster International University in Tashkent and Ruhr-Universität Bochum have forged a partnership, marked by the signing of a protocol in June 2021. This agreement has paved the way for a series of joint initiatives and forthcoming collaborations. As an example, in May 2022, Ms. J. Rust, a representative from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, participated as a speaker in the Central Asian Law Forum held in Tashkent.

Currently, plans are underway to reciprocate this invitation by organising a visit of a WIUT delegation to Bochum, in collaboration with the RUB International Office.

The primary objective of this partnership is to foster closer ties with the Central Asian region and establish new avenues for academic exchange across various domains. This collaboration aims to enrich the realms of teaching, learning, research, and discovery missions. It seeks to enhance mutual interactions between the two universities, offering diverse collaborative opportunities for both faculty and students.

The scope of activities encompasses short and long-term faculty exchanges, as well as undergraduate and graduate student exchanges. Additionally, the collaboration involves joint research projects, shared learning and teaching endeavors, and the development of mutually agreed-upon educational or research programs. Through these initiatives, both institutions strive to expand their academic horizons and promote cross-cultural understanding.
