Yuqiao Li is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of International Political Economy of East Asia of the Faculty of East Asian Studies, Ruhr-University Bochum, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Bersick. He obtained a scholarship by China Scholarship Council (CSC). During his PhD research he focuses on China’s foreign policy vis-à-vis the European Union. In the framework of national role conception, his dissertation will analyse the role of the European Union in China’s foreign policy. In 2018, Yuqiao Li worked for a German consulting firm to serve medical devices manufacturers in the EU-China bilateral trade. From October 2019 to January 2020, he interned at Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University in Beijing, China. His internship was based around the Belt and Road Initiative and concentrated on the trilateral relationship among the European Union, Central and Eastern European countries, and China. Yuqiao Li holds a Master of Arts degree in East Asian Politics from Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany and a Bachelor of Management degree in Administrative Management from University of Science and Technology Beijing in China.
